The Cicero was the vessel built for the first manned mission to Mars.

The legacy of a man born in Arpino, in Italy, and dead for 2000 years became the manifest for human expansion into the solar system.

The chance of a catastrophic event on one planet left solid hope of survival on the other.

It could have been called Jesus, like another man dead for 2000 years, to remind of salvation and hope.

But new horizons do not come from fear or religion.

That’s why they chose Marcus Tullius, who faced destructive human nature with thought and reason picturing the future we were about to write.
